Wonder what kind of house you’d have if your husband was a well-known custom cabinet maker?
Stephanie and Mark Hall, of Mark Hall Cabinetry, built their own home in 2006. But the house is not a museum, says Stephanie, it’s designed for family fun and their five children. The February/March 2011 issue of Columbia Home features a home tour article about their house.
With photographs by Deanna Dikeman, the article highlights this unusual house, with its kitchen not adjacent to the garage, but next to the swimming pool, where the family spends much of their time. The house is also bisected by an 8-foot hallway lined with lighted, column cabinets.
While the company is doing well today, the Halls started their business with just Stephanie and Mark on staff. Today, the company employs 15 people and has done the cabinetry for more than 4,000 homes since opening its doors in 1995.
